Start the Crawl with friends, drinks, and a room full of evolving artwork. With multiple canvases in play, participants rotate from piece to piece, adding, layering, and transforming each one before returning to their original canvas to complete it. No experience needed, just jump in and be part of the process. Space is limited so apply early.

Be there as the 2026 Kincardine Art Crawl officially begins! At 6 p.m., participating downtown businesses will reveal this year's Wandering Windows exhibition, transforming storefronts into a gallery of original artwork. Join artists, business owners, and fellow art lovers as we celebrate the opening of the weekend and take the first walk through the exhibition together. The Wandering Windows exhibition remains on display throughout the Art Crawl, inviting visitors to discover art around every corner in downtown Kincardine. After the reveal, continue the celebration at the Opening Party & Round Robin Community Art Event at Grey Matter Beer Company. The party begins at 7 p.m.

The Arts Alive Market will be part of the activities that will be taking place to celebrate arts in Lakeside Downtown Kincardine. Visit the Victoria Park Gallery and meet members of the gallery while exploring a variety of live art demonstrations throughout the day. Wendy Behenna will demonstrate Kinusaiga, the Japanese art of creating images by tucking fabric into foam, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dianne Graham will be demonstrating watercolour painting from 12 to 3 p.m. Anke Dirks-Wehrmann will be back with another pottery demonstration from 11 until 2 p.m. Drop in, watch the process, ask questions and see how the work comes together.

Dive into the world of observational drawing with this focused, two-hour still life workshop. Whether you're a beginner or looking to refresh your skills, this intensive class offers a relaxed yet productive environment to create your own finished piece by the end of the afternoon. Threads of Connection is a collaborative weaving installation created from reclaimed fabrics, ribbons, and textiles, growing throughout the Kincardine Art Crawl with contributions from the community. Participants are invited to weave, tie, and knot materials into a shared tapestry while reflecting on prompts about connection, sustainability, memory, and belonging. Created from reclaimed materials and community stories, the installation highlights how small individual contributions can come together to create something meaningful.

Step into KTG’s history! Watch as scenes from our favourite past productions come to life through tableaux that transform into short reenactments. With fun narration and music, each snapshot in time will spring into action before your eyes. After each set, meet the actors, take photos, and share in the magic of theatre. You might even catch a sneak peek of what's coming next!

Join Jeremy for Grey Matter's Beer Recipe Design & Tasting Class! He'll walk you through the art and science of building a beer recipe before you create one of your own. Along the way, enjoy a guided tasting featuring two 6 oz beer samples. Then it's your turn to get creative. One winning recipe will be brewed on our pilot system and served as a Thursday Night Lab Beer! Limited to just 10 people per session. Sessions at 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm, and 3:00 pm.

Grab your paints and spend an afternoon creating by the lake! Victoria Park Gallery members Donna Taylor and Iuliana Barbu will be setting up their easels at Queen’s Lookout during the Kincardine Art Crawl for an afternoon of plein air painting, working in both watercolour and acrylic and taking inspiration from one of Kincardine’s prettiest views. Stop by to watch them work, chat about their process or bring your own art supplies and paint alongside them! We’ll have a few extra easels available for anyone who wants to join in, but participants are encouraged to bring their own paints, brushes, canvas or paper and other supplies.

Come play with paint, words and a little bit of storytelling with author/artist Andreah Barker. This relaxed, all-ages workshop is a chance to explore how words and watercolour can work together to tell a story. We’ll experiment with colour, images and simple writing prompts to create something that’s completely your own. No painting or writing experience needed. This workshop is about playing, experimenting and seeing where your imagination takes you. Designed to be multigenerational, come on your own or bring your kids, parents, grandparents or friends and spend some time creating together. Ages 7 to 12 Cost: $30 Registration Required Let your young artist dive into the colourful world of watercolour! In this fun, hands-on workshop, participants will learn simple watercolour techniques while creating a bright, splashy fish painting to take home. With plenty of swishy brushstrokes and creative exploration, it's the perfect introduction to painting for kids who love to make art. All supplies and instruction are included. Instructor: Karen Kesteloot of PortPrep Arts School Portfolio Preparation Karen Kesteloot is a local artist and professional arts educator with more than 30 years of experience. She has taught as a college professor, high school co-op employer, and education and summer camp director at PortPrep, where she helps students build confidence and creativity through art.

Learn the art of Kinusaiga, a fabric-based technique where pieces are tucked into foam to create a textured design. In this two-hour workshop, participants will create a 5 x 7 sunset piece, complete with a frame to take home. Suitable for teens and adults. No experience needed.
